How did Makes me Happy get started?

I had an awful tragedy in my life and I needed a focus, making pottery became that focus and it has helped me through the very worst days.

But I do owe my love of making to my maternal grandparents who made, cooked, built and grew everything, they were a true inspiration to me, I’m very fortunate to have inherited their love for making anything and everything, I seemed to get this passion in overload as I enjoy almost every kind of making from gardening, sewing, woodwork, decorating, painting…you name it and I’ve probably tried it..😃

A bit about where your lovely purchases are coming from

I am very lucky to have a home studio, and I can be found in my studio most days… completely absorbed…

Slip casting is my favourite way to make pottery…. I love the perfect form liquid clay takes on when it’s been in a plaster mould for 30 minutes..
