About Purple and Orange

I'm based in Manchester and take great care in hand making all of these gifts. My aim is to make products with people in mind so that I can create presents that people will love. Egg cups are my best sellers, there's something about their character that people love, and they're a great present as well as a useful thing to have around.

How did Purple and Orange get started?

Purple and Orange was born when I made a pair of owl bookends for my friends little girl. They had purple tummy's, so one got called Purple and as nothing rhymes with purple the other one was called Orange, after his feet. Not bad as names go. The owl bookends were the first product I made, and things just went from there.

And what about the crafting talent behind these great products

I've always loved pattern creation, but I turn my hand to anything, and whilst my happy place is at the sewing machine, craft of any kind calms me and give me a chance to harness my creativity. I took a degree in graphic design and although I now work in project management, I use craft as a way to take me back to the side of me that loves to make.
