How did Little Clay Pieces get started?

Little Clay Pieces started a hobby during lockdown to occupy my time while I was on furlough. I had been searching for so long, to find something that would get my creative juices flowing but couldn’t settle on anything in particular. Then I found polymer clay! It very quickly became an obsession. The more I practised, the more I fell in love with it.

A bit about where your lovely purchases are coming from

While it's super easy to get carried away with all the wonderful tools and products you can collect for making earrings with polymer clay, I live quite a minimalist life. I LOVE organisation! This means that I am able to keep my work space quite small. I work in my bedroom, which to some may feel hard, but I love it. It's my creative space and I wouldn't have it any other way,

And what about the crafting talent behind these great products

What I loved most about it was there while you can be creative (of course, what I was looking for!), it also follows a process. To create a piece that will last, a process must be followed.

I knew this was something I was going to continue to fall in love with. Almost 4 years later, I crave the spare moments I get to be able to sit down and let my creativity run wild. I am constantly learning new techniques, different ways of creating beautiful pieces of wearable art, and improving my skills.

I have a beautiful 5 year old daughter who is my driving force for this small business, and in fact, everything I do. We are a home education family, so this business allows me to be at home with her all day, everyday, soaking up all those learning milestones and creating beautiful memories together. I am so grateful to be able to have this opportunity to watch her grow and not miss out on all of those exciting learning moments that she has!
