Shingle Beach
Shingle Beach was inspired by my trips to the coast and the amazing wild flowers, plants and pebbles found along the wide deserted windswept beaches.
I have used mixed media including painted fabric, embroidery, twine and cardboard in this work.
The plants are created with painted fabric and different embroidery stitches. The shingle beach is a mix of painted vintage dress making tissue, twine, hessian and cardboard.
Every piece of art I make is unique and produced by hand, no machine embroidery here, often reflecting the seasons.

The painting is mounted in cream board within a white frame to suit any decor.
