Windswept
Windswept was inspired by the effect wind has on the countryside and the forms and shapes it reveals.
I have used painted fabric, textiles, embroidery and found objects in this work. The 'tree' is actually a root that was found along a stream after a flood had brought it to the surface. The affect of the water had created wonderful shapes within the root which convey a sense of movement.
The sky is painted fabric and the rest of the countryside is a mix of textiles and painted vintage dress-making pattern paper.
Every piece of art I make is unique and produced by hand.

Made using heavyweight watercolour paper, acrylic paint and embroidery thread.
The painting is mounted in white board within a white frame to suit any decor.
